Business Development Executive - Midlands
Job Definition
The Business Development Executive will have the ability to engage at any level, develop and build close relationships with mainly new customers in the Midlands area. Manage and interpret both new and existing customer requirements – to understand, anticipate and practically meet their needs.
This role would suit an existing new business development executive who is looking to take their next step in an autonomous role and to challenge themselves to open new accounts and develop existing accounts within the Midlands area. This role offers the potential to grow the territory and for the Business Development Executive to treat it as a mini business.
Responsibilities
Create and develop strategic business plans to support and deliver ongoing territory growth
Manage and interpret both new and existing customer requirements – to understand, anticipate and practically meet their needs
Build and strategically foster relationships with new customers, to gain clear understanding of their business requirements and objectives, to ensure expectations are exceeded
Uphold the ActionPlas values and lead by example
Skills
Has been in the CNC machining industry in plastics and/or metals
Has experience in selling machined components into food & beverage, subsea, engineering, pharmaceutical, automotive, print industries
Opening new accounts
Communication and interpersonal skills
Characteristics
Have excellent communications, interpersonal, listening, oral, and written skills, and be competent liaising with all levels of management and customers
Excellent time management, organisational and administrative skills
Ability to work under pressure, to prioritise and meet deadlines, solutions focused
