CNC Turning Operator

Job Definition

The CNC Turning Operator will be working in our turning department. The role of CNC Turning Operator is to complete all works under minimal supervision, and ability to carry out basic set ups and operate the CNC turning machinery, whilst adhering to all shop floor Health & Safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • To safely operate CNC turning machines whilst adhering to all safety policies and procedures

  • Ensure equipment is running smoothly, efficiently and to optimum requirements

  • Maintain a clean, neat and organised work area

  • Prepare machine and equipment before and after every use

  • Good understanding of mechanical engineering and machining principles

  • Work to the ActionPlas values

  
Skills

  • CNC Turning Operator experience

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

  • Ability to check tools and understand and adhere to quality requirements

  • Skill in operating CNC turning machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
