Fabricator
Job Definition
The role of Fabricator is to complete all works under minimal supervision, and to work across assembly/fabrication dept whilst adhering to all shop floor Health & Safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
Maintain a clean, neat and organised work area
Prepare equipment before and after every use
Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles
Compliance with all quality policies and specifications, and instructions
Use of gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
Inspect and measure finished products
Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result
Focus on assembly/fabrication projects
Work to the ActionPlas values
Skills
Skill in plastic fabrication and assembly essential
Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
Good communication abilities
Characteristics
Work under own initiative and remain calm under pressure
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
Flexibility is imperative, there is a wide range of work
Positive and professional demeanour
