Job Definition
We are currently seeking a talented Estimator to join our office-based team in Pudsey. This role is focused on estimating time, material, and methods of manufacture rather than costing.
Responsibilities
Attention to detail is paramount in this role.
Create estimates for specialized machining parts ranging from 1-off to 1000-off.
Identify the most effective manufacturing methods for complex parts, from raw material to complete production.
Determine the most suitable material for the requested job.
Read and understand customer specifications, interpret requirements, and collaborate with our Technical team to find solutions.
Liaise with different departments within the business
Work to the ActionPlas values
Skills
Machining experience with plastics and metals is desirable but not essential.
Precision engineering/manufacturing background - HNC/HND or strong technical expertise within CNC and manual machining.
Ability to calculate cycle times, set-up times, and more.
Solid knowledge of tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
Excellent communicator across various depts and customers
Characteristics

Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
